Take a step in the right direction with the foot and ankle specialists at the Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey. When you have foot and ankle pain, every step can be a constant reminder that something’s wrong. You deserve to be pain-free. Many diseases, deformities, biomechanical conditions and injuries can cause foot and ankle orthopedic discomfort. At OINJ we’ll help you get to the bottom of it.
Our team of board-certified foot and ankle surgeons and orthopedists offer an array of non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat chronic and acute foot and ankle disorders. We want to help you get back on your feet so you can do what you love, such as wearing shoes without discomfort, running on a treadmill or even just walking down the block.
If you’re in need of an ankle doctor, the OINJ Foot & Ankle Center can diagnose ankle-specific conditions. When an ankle is sprained, it means that the ligaments have been stretched beyond their limit or even torn. Ligaments are the fibrous connective tissue that attach the bones in the body together and keep them in place. An ankle fracture is a small break in one of the bones that make up the ankle. The top ankle joint is comprised of the shinbone (tibia), the bone of the lower leg (fibula) and the anklebone (talus). Depending on the type and severity of the fracture, surgery may be required to effectively treat the condition.
Our experienced orthopedic surgeons and non-surgical providers treat a wide array of foot and ankle conditions, from minor foot injury and ankle injury problems to complex ankle and foot surgery. Our practice treats a wide range of conditions related to sports, deformities and trauma. Conditions we treat include Achilles tendon injuries and disorders, Ankle and foot fractures, Arthritis, Ankle instability, Peroneal tendonitis, Sprained ankle, Bunion deformities, Hammertoes, Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction [AT1] , Flat feet, High arches (Cavus Foot), Turf Toe, Gout, Plantar Warts, Sesamoiditis (Forefoot Pain), Flatfoot, Plantar Fasciitis, Compartment Syndrome and more.
OINJ foot orthopedic physicians offer surgical and non-surgical options to treat foot pain and ankle pain, such as Ankle/Subtalar arthrodesis, Charcot reconstruction, Mid-foot fusion, Total ankle replacement, Triple arthrodesis and more. You’re sure to find the perfect foot doctor to suit your needs at OINJ—whether that’s a podiatrist, a foot surgeon, an ankle surgeon or any other specialist.
We provide comprehensive evaluation for foot and ankle conditions for patients of all ages and activity levels and develop the best treatment plan for your condition. Feet and ankles are two of the most neglected areas of the body. But it’s important to seek treatment from an orthopedic foot specialist. Although some foot and ankle symptoms will improve within two weeks, more serious problems can take longer to completely heal. If not treated properly, foot and ankle conditions can lead to recurrent problems, especially if you return to your regular activities too quickly.

"I just wanted to send a huge grateful thank you to the kind nurses and doctor who worked Christmas Eve. I fell from a large step while caroling and hurt my right ankle. My first thought in dealing with my foot was emergency room but recalled that you had emergency hours.
I got to the office and was greeted by kind and warm people ready to help and get me fixed up. I was x-rayed, consulted and given an action plan and sent on my way within a half hour.
I can’t thank you enough. You saved me the time and hassle and expense of an emergency room. I am on the road to healing and will remind people of your emergency services."
