Certified Medical Assistant

Large multi-specialty Orthopedic practice focused on quality patient care seeks an experienced Certified Medial Assistant to become part of a team striving for excellence. This is a full time clinical position with travel between offices in Warren, Sussex, and Morris Counties.May include some Front Desk duties.Some evening and Saturday rotation may be necessary.

POSITION TITLE: Certified Medical Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: On a daily basis, assists physicians in the office, bringing patients from the reception area to the exam room, preparing patient for examination, assisting physician with procedures. Clinical documentation in electronic medical record, electronic order entry of; medication, labs, radiology, and therapy. Assist with telephone calls from patients, and stocking/cleaning exam rooms.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:

Formalized Medical Assistant training/certification required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters relating to patients.
Orthopedic experience preferred.
Prior medical assistance work experience preferred.
Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate and relate well with all staff and patients.
Must be able to follow direction well from physicians and managers.
Ability to follow established office routines and policies.
Ability to cross-train for other positions desirable.

Medical Office Front Desk / Receptionist

Medical Receptionist

Large multi-specialty Orthopedic practice focused on quality patient care seeks an experienced Front Office Receptionist to become part of a team striving for excellence.

POSITION TITLE: Medical Receptionist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Welcomes and greets patients in a manner that is helpful and friendly.
Data entry of basic demographics and insurance information.
Collects applicable co-payment/ account balances at time of service.
Confirms eligibility of various patient’s insurance plans.
Obtains referrals as needed.
Schedule appointments.
Travel to other locations, in the Sussex/Warren/Morris counties, as needed.
Rotate weekends as needed.
Various other office duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

 

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:

Recent medical receptionist experience.
Orthopedic experience preferred.
Ability to work with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
Ability to organize workload and prioritize
Good communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and a positive, affirming attitude towards patients.

Physician Assistant - Orthopedics

The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey is looking for a responsible Physician Assistant to work alongside of our highly trained orthopedic surgeons. You will apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of our physicians.

The position will be based out of several locations throughout Warren, Sussex and Morris counties. 

Responsibilities:

Practice medicine under the direction of our Orthopedic Surgeons
Perform comprehensive evaluation and management
Assess patients’ health and their demands and aim to fulfill them as well as possible
Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions
Monitor patients’ progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries or other medical events
Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations
Office and Hospital hours required, including on call rotation.


Skills:

Proven work experience as a physician assistant
Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery
Familiarity with advancements in medical technology
Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
Caring and compassionate
