Certified Medical Assistant

Large multi-specialty Orthopedic practice focused on quality patient care seeks an experienced Certified Medial Assistant to become part of a team striving for excellence. This is a full time clinical position with travel between offices in Warren, Sussex, and Morris Counties.May include some Front Desk duties.Some evening and Saturday rotation may be necessary.

POSITION TITLE: Certified Medical Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: On a daily basis, assists physicians in the office, bringing patients from the reception area to the exam room, preparing patient for examination, assisting physician with procedures. Clinical documentation in electronic medical record, electronic order entry of; medication, labs, radiology, and therapy. Assist with telephone calls from patients, and stocking/cleaning exam rooms.


Formalized Medical Assistant training/certification required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters relating to patients.
Orthopedic experience preferred.
Prior medical assistance work experience preferred.
Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate and relate well with all staff and patients.
Must be able to follow direction well from physicians and managers.
Ability to follow established office routines and policies.
Ability to cross-train for other positions desirable.

Medical Billing Specialist

Details for job position:

The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey is looking for a full-time Medical Billing Specialist for our Sparta Headquarters team and to join a successful practice providing complete musculoskeletal care to Warren, Sussex and Morris County in New Jersey.

The ideal candidate would have:

Billing/Denial management knowledge of Orthopedic Specialties and the Orthopedic Practice.
Ability to work in a busy and fast paced Billing and Denial Management environment.
Desire to work collaboratively and excel.

Job Description

Knowledge of EFT's and EOB's
Understanding of medical and insurance terminology
Comfortable with following up on claims and appeals
Make insurance eligibility calls
Know how to re-bill denied claims
Keep organized, detailed notes
Familiar with insurance websites
At least 4 years of revenue cycle experience
Understands the claim submission process
Extensive knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9 and ICD-10
Knowledge of HIPAA
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Certificate from an accredited Medical Billing Company or equivalent experience
Proficient in Microsoft programs
Familiarity with Medical Manager Software a plus

Experience and Work Requirements:

Prior Billing and Denial Management experience required.
Great work ethic, reliable.
Ability to work in Sparta
Quick and experienced with computers.
Good verbal skills.
