OINJ/Elle Foundation 1st Annual Golf Outing

Jul 25, 2023

Medicine is a humanitarian field. This is why its aspects often go beyond just treatment. There’s so much that a doctor can and should do both for the patient and their family that transcends the line of duty. This moral obligation goes beyond our fields of expertise or specialization.

This is why, this year, we hosted the OINJ/Elle Foundation 1st Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser

All of the proceeds from the event were donated to the Elle Foundation to fund their mission to help create memories of joy for children with cancer and grant final wishes for children battling a terminal illness.

Sometimes, treatment doesn’t produce the desired effects, and there’s only so much doctors can do. When all other options expire, what matters most is giving the patient the last few moments of joy and providing the family with beautiful memories to last a lifetime.

The event occurred on Monday, July 10th, at the Panther Valley Golf & Country Club in Allamuchy, NJ.

Dr. Paul G. Teja's daughter spoke about her personal experience with the Elle Foundation at the ceremony's opening. Laurie Richmond, the president of the Elle Foundation, also shared her words on the occasion.

Besides serving a noble purpose, the event was filled with many fun challenges for the participants, including the Hole in One challenge, Closest to the Line, and a 50/50 Raffle.

Thanks to this impressive list of sponsors, the event raised $15,000 in donations (not including personal donations).
