Dr. Castro completed advanced fellowship training at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, NJ with focus on interventional spine procedures and additional pain management strategies.
He completed his residency at the Sinai Hospital Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program in Baltimore, MD. While there, he also received electrodiagnostic study training at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Castro received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT, graduating cum laude.
His goal is to provide excellent, cost-effective care to his patients to help them improve function by integrating medications, therapies, injections and lifestyle changes.
A native of central New Jersey, Dr. Castro is an avid runner and is active in the community coaching youth sports.
