Job Description

Take phone calls from patients requesting appointments or other information.
Accurately check insurances, match the request to a provider and book appointments.
Enter data into our MEDENT Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Interact with providers and Medical Assistant team as needed.
Interact with Front Desk team as needed.
Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
Reschedule appointments when necessary.
Work efficiently and be able to multi-task.
Demonstrate good customer service.
Act as a liaison for the patients.
Direct calls to other departments as needed.
Use sound judgement in handling calls and develop an understanding of when to escalate calls to physicians/practice manager, triage nurse.

Experience and Work Requirements:

Prior Call Center Associate experience a plus, but not required; we will train.
Great work ethic, reliable.
Ability to cover a rotating shift to 6pm on occasion and ability to be flexible.
Quick and experienced with computers.
Good verbal skills.
Prior Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Posts insurance and patient payments into practice Electronic Medical Record(EMR) system in a timely and accurate manner.
Runs daily transaction reports to ensure accuracy of batch totals.
Identifies any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates this to the appropriate billing representative.
Properly documents payment denials in the practice EMR and communicates to the appropriate billing representative in a timely manner.
Verifies all EFT, Lockbox, Credit Card deposits have been posted by month end deadline demonstrating good time management, communication, and teamwork.
